Abstract: The development of low-valent main-group complexes capable of mimicking transition-metal reactivity remains a cornerstone of modern organometallic chemistry, and enhancing the reactivity of tetrylenes by tailoring their frontier orbitals remains challenging. Herein, we have enhanced the steric and electronic constraints of the dipyrromethene ligand to stabilize the monomeric low-valent tin (II) hydride species. And studied its reactivity with the small molecules like Carbon dioxide (CO2) and Carbon disuphide (CS2) and got activated product of it. Along with this we have studied the reactivity of the hydride species with the substituted azide. Further to check whether the tin hydride reactive nature whether it can give the oxidative addition product or not we perform the stochiometric reactivity study with the benzyl bromide, methyl iodide and penta-fluoropyridine and got the nucleophilic substitution product. Following in the series we have perform the reactivity with the bulkier boranes like Tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane B(C6F6)3. All the synthesized complexes are characterized by heteronuclear NMR, SC-XRD, and UV-Vis and IR analysis of the complexes.
