This thesis report details the design and analysis of Dual-Rail-Cat-Code (DRCC), which uses cat codes, a specific instance of rotationally symmetric bosonic codes concatenated with the dual-rail code. We rigorously derive the code structure by placing cat states in their corresponding cavity modes in the odd parity structure of dual-rail, mixing both cavity modes with a beam-splitter, and accounting for the response to dominant physical noise channels: photon loss and dephasing.en_US
