dc.description | The material in this thesis is based largely on two papers by the author (with Dr. Sudarshan Ananth and Dr. Stefano Kovacs), arXiv preprint references: hep-th/1101.3540, hep-th/1203.5376. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | In this thesis we focus on supersymmetric quantum field theories. In particular we study the maximally supersymmetric N=4 super Yang-Mills theory in light-cone superspace. We present two applications of light-cone superspace formalism: 1) we derive a new Lagrangian for N=4 super Yang-Mills, where the scattering amplitudes are manifest, and 2) we initiate a new formalism for computing correlation functions of gauge invariant operators. | en_US |
