Physical models have been studied with twists being applied to the electric and magnetic fields at the boundary. It is curious to understand what happens if the twist is applied to the lattice, instead of the fields on the lattice. The properties of many models depend on the lattice on which they are studied. We take finite lattices and apply a twist in one direction, and study the behaviour of the models on this lattice. To understand the effect concretely, we perform numerical simulations of two simple systems, the 2D Ising model and 2D dimer model defined on square lattices with twists. We look at the effect of the parity of the twist and the temperature of the model.en_US
