Abstract: | Selective detection of biothiols holds prime importance owing to the role of varied concentrations of biothiols in various diseases, thus demanding extensive research for developing materials toward selective sensing. In this study, we targeted postsynthetic modification (PSM) approach for imparting desired functionality to chemically stable UiO-66-NH2 metal-organic framework, which exhibits highly selective sensing toward biothiols. The appended dinitrobenzenesulfonyl group reacts with biothiols via chemidosimetric approach. As a consequence, the probe exhibits a turn on response, which holds immense importance for facile biological studies. |
