Abstract: The Standard Model is a very successful model of fundamental particles. But it is not considered to be a complete theory as it fails to explain many known phenomena. There have been many attempts to complete this theory for example, Grand Unified Theories (GUTs), SuperSymmetry (SUSY) models, etc. B and L symmetries are accidental symmetries of the Standard Model. B and L symmetries appear in many of the GUTs and there is a lot of work on gauged U(1)B−L models. But gauged U(1)B, U(1)L and U(1)B+L are not well explored. In this work we try to build different U(1)X (X = B, L, B + L) gauged models, and analyse their phenomenological implications focusing on novel proton decays that can be searched for experimentally.
