The thesis aims to analyse a BEC based analogue gravity system. We first lead up to the derivation of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation which describes our system. We then proceed to employ a dumb-hole configuration. A perturbative expansion of our wavefunction gives us a background condensate density profile over which our analogous space-time plays out. We use a co-ordinate transformation to switch to a u-v basis where the task of solving is simplified. We briefly show that the radiation distribution is bosonic and then finally segue to a section about correlations where we do an in-depth analysis of the system with different correlation functions.en_US
