Abstract: Surface Organometallic Chemistry is a branch of chemistry that deals with well-defined catalysts and bridges the gap between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. Surface organometallic chemistry is based on a single-site approach where a catalyst can be targeted by stitching surface organometallic fragment (SOMF) or surface coordination fragments (SCF) on the surface called the “predictive approach.” The objective is to enter into a catalytic cycle through a presumed intermediate through SOMF or SCF. In this book chapter, the recent advances of surface organometallic catalysts are documented through various catalytic reactions. Additionally, solid-state NMR of many surface organometallic complexes were given to describe how important is solid-state NMR for the characterization of surface organometallic complexes thoroughly.
