Abstract: | Recently, flexible and wearable microelectronics has become one of the most exciting and trending fields of research. Various types of flexible and wearable devices have been introduced lately. In this work, we have demonstrated an easy and facile approach to fabricate all solid state asymmetric flexible micro-supercapacitor (MSCs) by using CO2 laser scribing technique and electrodeposition. Ternary metal oxide (nickel cobalt oxide) was electrodeposited through electrodeposition at a particular value of I×t (current passed during deposition × time of deposition) and was used as electrode. PVA-H3PO4 is the gel electrolyte used for all the electrochemical measurements. Asymmetric nature of our fabricated device helped to widen the operating voltage range up to 1.4 V. The areal capacitance for the fabricated device was 2.02 mF cm-2 at 0.25 mA cm-2 current density. The fabricated micro-supercapacitor all solid state device also shows high flexibility (over 90% capacitance retention) at 120o bending. |
