Abstract: Monomeric stibine oxide has remained elusive due to the large antimony orbitals coupled with a high electronegativity difference with oxygen. Now, a free tris(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)stibine oxide has been isolated that can act as oxo-transfer reagent.
