dc.description.abstract An environmentally benign, sequential one-pot alkylation and intramolecular cyclization of salicyl alcohols and diketo compounds using Ru-catalyst has been developed via “Borrowing Hydrogen Catalysis” (BHC). The present domino process is highly selective and allows the construction of C-C and C-O bond in one-pot using only a catalyst without any additive/base. Using this protocol, a library of substituted benzopyran derivatives has been synthesized. en_US
