dc.description.abstract Different metal oxides/sulphides were chosen and presented, to enhance the degradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation. Novel heterostructured photocatalysts were fabricated via facile hydrothermal and solution phase route. The serendipitous Sn3O4/Cu2O & SnS2/KNbO3 heterostructures at various conditions exhibit remarkable potential as a visible light photocatalysts with an advantage of recyclability in comparison to their seeding precursors. In addition, the characterization, and the chemical and physical measurements focused upon magnifying the photocatalytic activity were discussed. The effectiveness of the materials was tested by investigating the degradation profiles of a model dye, Indigo carmine (IC). en_US
